Our Executive Microcertificate is powered by 4 well-designed courses that can be completed remotely and are offered throughout the year. These include:
Most executive education programs focus on the generic. This program focuses on the specific issues faced by a heavily siloed industry by cross-training content to make it relevant for a diverse set of stakeholders and students.
A microcertificate from BRIMM at the University of British Columbia is an excellent choice for a combination of formal recognition and practical learning focused on the unique challenges facing the mining and exploration industry. Our goal is to give students the tools for a career transition or vertical growth.
The program’s pace is up to you. Although we strongly recommend that students start with BRIMM101, there is some flexibility to the order and schedule that works best for you. We also offer morning and afternoon live sessions to accomodate different time zones, as well as an option to do work asynchronously.
BRIMM Microcertificate for Economic Leadership in Mining enrolls students on an ongoing and open basis. To get started, just register for any of the courses available on the Upcoming Courses page.
Microcertificates are earned by completing a minimum of 4 courses, in any order. Courses have to be completed within 3 years of getting started. Most participants will graduate within the first year. None of the courses require on-site coursework. However, we will be offering in-person classes, workshops and events globally in major mining cities once the COVID-19 crisis has passed.
